Esta Italia is pleased to invite its members to National conference to be held in Torchiara from 5 to 7 October 2018.

The rich program ranges from lectures on teaching, to violin making, to insights on Giuseppe Martucci.

Friday 5th October

4.00 pm Welcome concert of the Aura Strings Trio (students of Maestro M. Tortorelli)
5.00 pm Seminar: "Southern historical violin making, a gap to be filled" held by Maestro Ciro Caliendo, violin maker.
6.00 pm Master Class of violin by Maestro Nazrin Raschidova
8.00 pm Concert by the violinist Nazrin Raschidova
9.15 pm Welcome dinner / buffet offered by local sponsor

Saturday 6 October

10.00 Beginning of the Master Class of violin, violin making, viola and chamber music
10.30 am "The therapy that you ... notice"
Seminar: "the teaching of the violin for disabled children" held by Eduardo Caiazza, concert violinist and teacher, specialized in music therapy for disabled children.
12.00 pm Master class of violin making: construction and maintenance of bowed instruments held by Maestro Giuseppe Arrè
4.00 pm Seminar: "New methods on violin education for music schools and high schools" by Angela Amato concert violinist and teacher, graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
4.00 pm Playday orchestra rehearsals
17.00 Seminar: "Giuseppe Martucci and the Neapolitan violin school" told and performed by Michelangelo Massa, concert violinist and teacher and Bernadette Tripodi, concert pianist and teacher.
6.30 pm Master Class of viola and chamber music by Maestro Bruno Giuranna
20.00 PlayDay meeting conducted by M ° Giuseppe Polese director of the Gesualdo Junior Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music in Potenza.

Sunday 7 October

10.30 am Visit of the archaeological area of Paestum for those interested and continuation of the Master Classes of violin making, viola and chamber music.

The Municipality of Torchiara is located in the Cilento National Park, between the Municipalities of is located in the Cilento National Park, between the Municipalities of Agropoli and Castellabate.

Torchiara is easily accessible by car along the A3 motorway, exit at Battipaglia, follow the SS 18 towards Vallo della Lucania, exit Prignano Cilento. By train to Agropoli-Castellabate station, then bus to Torchiara or organized shuttles.

The geographical position of the Cilento municipality, in the hills, slightly behind the Cilento coast, offers a wonderful panoramic view towards the sea and the Gulf of Salerno, Agropoli and Paestum, the Amalfi Coast and the island of Capri.
