Friends of ESTA PORTUGAL have decided to share the European members of the European String Teacher Association the publication of their first magazine:

there REVIEW ESTA PORTUGAL N.1

Perhaps not everyone knows that the ESTA INTERNATIONAL member nations create a magazine for their members, published with various types of cadence - quarterly or half-yearly - chosen by the board of each national delegation.
Sharing experiences is the basis of ESTA's mission and it is nice to remember its objectives:

Promote the highest artistic and pedagogical standards in teaching ropes
Promote lifelong learning of bowed instruments
Encourage study and research in all stages of the teaching of the bowed instrument
Provide a forum for the dissemination of ideas through conferences, workshops, printed materials
Promote collaboration between its members and with other organizations

ESTA PORTUGAL he has recently become part of the large ESTA family but is already very active in initiatives in favor of the teaching of bowed instruments.

In addition, Portugal distinguished itself in 2014 for the organization of an amazing INTERNATIONAL PURPLE CONGRESS; perhaps also for this great result that Portugal has been chosen as the headquarters of the 48th INTERNATIONAL ESTA CONFERENCE which will take place in 2020.

We wish Portuguese friends great success and we hope to share other initiatives together like each other today.
